Washington, D.C.
A congressional internship is an experience like none other. You will have the opportunity to view the Legislative Branch first-hand, while serving Oklahoma’s Fifth District. Interns work directly with the Congressman and his staff to help with the legislative process. Ideal interns are hard-working, personable, organized, independent and highly motivated. Oklahoma ties are preferred but not required.
Duties
Interns work directly with Congressman Lankford and his staff; including attending hearings and briefings, administrative duties, drafting constituent correspondence, conducting legislative research, and supporting communications efforts.
Dates and Hours
Internships run during the fall, spring, and summer semesters for college students. All internships are unpaid. The hours are flexible to accommodate schedules, but generally run 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. when Congress is in session.

Oklahoma City
Congressman Lankford is pleased to offer internships in his District Office, located on the historic Automobile Alley in downtown Oklahoma City. This office focuses primarily on constituent service: helping constituents address issues or needs with various agencies and departments of the Federal Government.
Duties
Intern responsibilities include conducting legislative research, updating the constituent services management database, drafting constituent correspondence, answering phone calls, attending Tuesday Talk community forums, and accompanying staff to represent the Congressman at public meetings.
